The Challenge

Bert and the Meals on Wheels Kitsap team came to me with an outdated website and branding that no longer reflected the heart or impact of their organization. While their site was filled with valuable information for clients and families, it was difficult to navigate and hard to find on Google.

As a nonprofit serving many senior clients, accessibility and clarity were essential. They needed a website that was easy to use, highly informational, and simple to navigate, while also feeling warm, colorful, and reflective of the incredible work happening behind the scenes.

Before

The previous site contained important resources, but the structure made it difficult for users to quickly find what they needed. The branding lacked cohesion, and the overall look didn’t capture the energy of the team or the warmth of their mission. Search visibility was also limited, making it harder for community members to discover their services online.

The Solution

We partnered together on a full rebrand and website redesign, focusing on accessibility, education, and impact. The goal was to create a site that felt welcoming and vibrant while remaining intuitive for seniors and caregivers to navigate.

Branding

We developed a cohesive brand identity that introduced more color and consistency across all touch points. The updated logos and palette brought warmth and energy while maintaining clarity and readability.

To further elevate the brand, we partnered with local photographer Sara Therese, who captured new imagery of the MOWK kitchen and team. These authentic brand photos added life and personality to the site, helping visitors connect with the people behind the mission.

Key Accomplishments

Website Redesign:
We completely restructured the site to improve navigation, simplify menus, and organize information in a clear, logical way. Special attention was given to readability, button placement, and accessibility for senior users.

Improved SEO & Visibility:
We optimized the site for search engines to increase discoverability, ensuring community members could more easily find Meals on Wheels Kitsap and access their services.

Educational & Informational Focus:
The new site maintains the depth of information clients rely on, but presents it in a way that is approachable, visually appealing, and easier to understand.

The Results

Meals on Wheels Kitsap now has a cohesive, appealing brand and a website that truly reflects their impact. The updated digital presence is easier to navigate, more accessible for senior clients, and better positioned for visibility within the community.

The result is a colorful, welcoming online home that supports their mission and makes it easier for clients, families, and volunteers to engage.

“Here's how great working with Fina is: halfway through our first project together I signed up for a second one. Her refresh of Meals on Wheels Kitsap's website is not only a technical marvel, but an aesthetic and human-focused one. She has a way of bringing to life the values of our mission beyond what we hoped for. Fina grasps equally well the tech and human aspects of doing business; she absolutely knows her craft, and is also an understanding, friendly, collaborative, endlessly supportive professional. Two-way communication is paramount in a joint project, and she excels here too: from day one, all correspondence was timely, clear, results-based, thoughtful, and open. She also listens, closely and respectfully. And everything - Every Thing - was delivered on time. If you're looking for a programming and aesthetic artist to breathe new life into your website with grace and style, look no further. She's Mindful Minds for a reason!”
